Andrew Hoffman, Psy.D.

Dr. Hoffman retired as of April 30, 2023.

Dr. Hoffman received a B.S. in Community Health and an M.S.in Health Education from Southern Illinois University in 1986 and 1989 respectively and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 1996.  He worked at community health centers, residential treatment centers, medical centers, private mental health groups and agencies, and in private practice.  He worked at Center For Positive Change from 2001 – 2023.

Dr. Hoffman provided direct clinical services (individual, couples, family and group therapy) for adults, adolescents and children presenting with a wide range of issues and problems. 

In addition to his direct work with clients, he had experience supervising therapists in training.

Dr. Hoffman also conducted group presentations and educational seminars on topics such as:

  • Stress Management
  • Smoking Cessation
  • Weight Management
  • Depression
  • Sexual Orientation and LGBTQ Issues
  • HIV/AIDS Issues





Jon Cole, Ph.D.

Dr. Cole retired as of April 30, 2023.

Dr. Cole received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1980 and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University in 1983 and 1988 respectively.  He worked at community health centers, medical centers, private mental health groups and agencies, and in private practice.  He worked at Center For Positive Change from 2000 – 2023.

Dr. Cole provided direct clinical services (individual, couples, family and group therapy) for adults, adolescents and children presenting with a wide range of issues and problems.

He also had administrative and supervisory experience, including 3 years as the Director of Counseling and Psychotherapy Services at Howard Brown Health Center in Chicago.

Dr. Cole also conducted group presentations and educational seminars on topics such as:

  • Balancing Work and Family
  • Managing Employee Performance Problems
